How Can This Be Easy? Workshop
Why This Workshop?
My phrase for 2026 is: How can this be easy?
Not easy as in “I don’t care.” Easy as in I’m done volunteering for unnecessary hardship—especially around the things that matter most.
As a memoir and non-fiction book coach, I see this all the time: women with powerful material—notes, memories, scenes, half-paragraphs—who can’t find a clear path forward because they’re carrying too much alone.
This workshop is about adding support—without adding pressure.
Who It's For
This is for you if:
- You’re a memoir or nonfiction writer with a story to tell
- You’re curious about AI, but you want it explained by someone who didn’t grow up with this tech, either
- You’re carrying a lot, and the last thing you need is one more complicated system
- You want your writing life to feel lighter, simpler, and more doable
You want to show up to coaching clearer, more prepared, and ready to make the most of your time
What You'll Learn
In this workshop, you’ll learn:
- What AI is (and what it isn’t), in plain English
- A support-not-substitute approach that protects your voice
- How to train the system to work for you (it’s simpler than you think)
- How to use AI to research, organize your ideas, and decide what matters most
- The common pitfalls—and how to avoid generic, unhelpful output
Important note: AI isn’t a substitute for coaching or the real work of writing. It’s support—so when you meet with your coach, you’re clearer, better prepared, and able to use that time well.
