Not every woman who comes to me arrives with a book in mind. Some have pages. Some have voice memos, scattered notes, or a story they’ve been carrying for years without knowing what to do with it. Others are still deciding whether what they have is a book at all — and whether they’re ready to find out.
I’m a certified memoir book coach through Author Accelerator, and I bring decades of experience as a communications strategist to this work. That combination matters. I help writers get clear on what the story actually is, who it’s for, and what structure will hold it — before they spend months heading in the wrong direction.
Every service on this page is built around the same principle: your time, energy, and story deserve more than a template and a deadline.
There are two ways to begin. If you want a structured space to think through the decision before you commit, start with the workshop. If you’re ready for a more personal conversation, start with a Discovery Call.
Book Blueprint Intensive
$1500
The Book Blueprint Intensive is a short, focused process designed to give your book a solid foundation before you write further. It’s built around the Blueprint for a Book methodology developed by Jennie Nash — a structured approach used by book coaches worldwide to help writers clarify the core elements every strong book needs before drafting begins.
This is the right fit if you’re ready to get serious about the shape of the book — who it’s for, what it’s really about, and how it’s organized — before you spend months writing in the wrong direction.
Over three focused sessions, we establish the foundation: your book’s organizing thread, your ideal reader, and the structural decisions that will guide everything that follows. You’ll leave knowing what you’re building and why — so the writing that comes next has somewhere to go.
What’s included:
- Three 60-minute recorded sessions over six weeks
- Between-session email support to keep the work moving
- A one-page Next Steps Roadmap outlining your priorities and sequence so you know exactly what to do when we finish
By the end, you’ll have:
- A clarified book focus and organizing thread
- An ideal reader profile
- A clear, confident direction for the work ahead
"I've had a book inside of me for years. I knew the book. It lived inside of me. I just didn’t know how to get it out.
Valerie’s strength is structure and strategy. Working with her gave me a way to move from one step to the next.
Integrity is really important to me. I wanted this book to make sense — that was my fear, that it wouldn’t. Valerie’s strategy gave me the structure to move forward.
Now the book is emerging as my writing, my thought, truly what’s inside of me. And for the first time, I can actually see it being completed. I can see it emerging in front of me, which I never could before."
